Nancy asks… Thyroid problems? Just got diagnosed!? Hypothyroidism runs in my family. I'm 28 and just got my first positive test. All the other females were diagnosed much younger (in their teens or early twenties). I know I'll just start on meds (for the rest of my life) and it will be controlled, but my doctor said my diagnosis is so little right now that I don't need to start meds yet--she wants to wait a few months and see if it worsens before starting

Hypothyroidism is something to take very vigorously and be on guard for. There are desiccated bovine supplements but one should never hesitate to contact a doctor and to be tested.
